New Year's Resolutions

One of our biggest New Year's resolutions is to eat healthier this year. So one of the first things we did when we got back from Christmas break was go out and a buy a stockpile of fruit and vegetables. We'll see how our goal goes but I think this should help.

My next to do was taking down our Christmas decorations, luckily I remembered to snap a few pictures first.

Christmas Part 2: Virginia

Before flying out to Virginia to spend the rest of our 3 week Christmas break we had the chance to hand out Christmas presents to my family.

We got some good reactions :)

Then it was Jacob's and my turn to open presents from my parents.

A couple days later we were on a plane and off to Virginia.

Upon arrival, one of our first stops was to pick up my big Christmas gift, an Iphone 5. I was so excited I couldn't wait the couple days left before Christmas so Jacob decided I could have it early. I had fun the rest of the trip figuring out all the features, playing games, and taking pictures. It was a great gift!

In fact here's the first photo I took. Jacob had been growing out his facial hair and before shaving it all off he decided to mess around with some fun beard designs.

I love Jacob's house at Christmas, their living room is always so cozy with the fireplace and all of the decorations.

Christmas Eve dinner at the Goodfellow house is usually full of junk food. As everyone has gotten older there have been some healthier substitutions but the banana slushy is still a staple.

Christmas morning came early since we decided to wake up with Clara and try to open presents before it was time for her nap. She was so cute though it was worth being a little tired.

Jacob's family has a cool tradition of taking a picture of all the kids lined up on the stairs in age order before we all go down to open presents

We started out with stockings and then Jacob and I prepared everyone a breakfast of our specialty, German pancakes.

Then it was time for gifts. Clara was by far the most entertaining to watch. She had the cutest reactions to her presents.

Jacob's favorite gifts were his scope from me and rifle from his parents (that part of the gift had to be left at home in Utah).

My favorites were a Kindle from my mother-in-law Linda and a purse from Jacob.

We had the perfect Christmas!

We spent the rest of our extra long break relaxing and having fun. We spent a day in DC, went shooting, took family pictures, went out to eat, and to the movies. We even went to a weekend gun fair where we bought my first gun ever!
