Easter Sunday

This Easter Jacob and I were celebrating in our own apartment and so I decided to set us up an easter egg hunt after church. I love holidays so I was excited to replicate one of my favorite family easter traditions. In my family we do easter egg hunts like treasure hunt. Each person participating gets a set of color coordinated clues that lead them to their individually chosen candy. Because there's only two of us, I made clues for Jacob and hid his candy while he did the same for me. Then we took turns going on our hunts so that we could get pictures. Jacob went first...

I thought my clues were good but Jacob definitely won the prize for the best hiding spot...

Yes he did put my candy in the toilet, luckily the plastic bag he sealed it in kept it dry.

After the hunt we got to color hard boiled eggs. We mixed vinegar in with the dye so that the colors would be extra bright.

All of the Easter celebrations were really fun but we made sure to not let the festivities get in the way of remembering the true purpose of Easter. We also got to spend time with Jacob's family as his parents had just came into town to visit. His siblings from BYU came up to Alpine and we all enjoyed Sunday dinner together.
